Testbed Gewerbegebiet Perlach Süd: Networking local companies with start-ups to develop sustainable solutions
March 2024. From methods for upcycling hop waste into building materials, microbiogas plants that convert organic waste into energy, vertical farming technology for sustainable food production to digital tools for energy and space efficiency or health management: the range of content presented by the start-ups to Neuperlach's tradespeople, local politicians and other stakeholders at the "Innovation Forum – Neuperlach's companies & start-ups networked" in March 2024 could not have been greater.
The brief presentations were followed by a lively exchange at the individual start-up stands as part of the innovation forum, in search of the interfaces of possible cooperation - between topic-related advice and business ideas on the one hand, location offers, entrepreneurial experience and knowledge of local needs on the other. The desire for change, for trying out and breaking new ground, for the joint search for innovative solutions was palpable among all participants. With the aim of shaping our future sustainably.
As part of Creating NEBourhoods Together, the Department of Labour and Economic Affairs of the City of Munich is therefore working in and with the Perlach Süd business park as a test field for testing innovative strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises and for developing solutions to urban challenges.
